Student Hypnotists with pictures
SOME OF OUR GRADUATES AND THEIR STORIES
These people have recently worked very hard to improve the status of the
profession of hypnosis in Texas
We have met some wonderful people who presented themselves as students
to us and we learned so much from our interaction with them.
Viola Carranza took our full program including Forensic. She continues
with her job as a “ pivotal-point” for the owner of a steel company;
however, she donates her time to the Hispanic community to help improve
lives. The people she has helped wrote wonderful stories to her
legislator about her abilities and her heart filled with love and
sharing.
She also wrote about the help Dr. Martin provided to her family, helping
Viola overcome an almost life-long sleep disorder; assisting her
sister so that her sister could heal and remain on her job; assisting
her uncle with knee pain; and last, but not least, working
adjunctively with traditional medicine in helping her nephew
survive a brain tumor. He is alive, five years down the road,
working and prospering. He has no apparent results from having
the tumor ; nor does he have any side effects from the
experimental chemotherapy.
Viola Carranza with Karen Lowery in hypnosis |
The above picture also has Karen Lowery. Karen was already a long-term
cancer survivor when she came to our classes. She had a very
knowledgeable background in law enforcement and chemical dependency.
She had moved into right brain interaction as a business owner who is
a massage therapist and an employer of other massage therapists.
In our pain class she said that once a year she goes for blood work
because of her former history with cancer. It is an all day process
and her husband accompanied her each year because her arms are black
and blue and sore at the end of the day. She normally was bruised
for at least a week afterward. In the pain class, she learned how
to numb areas of her body and she obtained a Magic Spot.
Her blood work was the week after the pain class. She breezed through
that day with no pain and no bruising…hurray hypnoanesthesia and
Karen’s Magic Spot.
Yvonne Howard came to take our classes with her daughter, Stephanie.
She had already completed another program, but took all our classes
including Forensic. During the year, she talked about the Silva
Method.
Ed had heard of Dr. Silva, but I had not at that time.
Dr. Silva decided the year after Yvonne graduated to teach his Holistic
Faith Healing in Houston. Over 160 people showed up the night he
started the class. Thirty-two of us completed the program he
developed for 24 months training.
From taking that course and being in Dr. Silva’s energy a shift in our
consciousness took place. We met Wanda Morris, Louise Dewey, Viola
Carranza, and Connie Buchanan and others….We don’t teach any of the
methods we learned , but we certainly use them in our personal life.

From Wanda Morris we have learned so much. I had always loved story
and was probably a cantedora in another life. Ed has said to me,
“You can tell a story wonderfully, just like my Dad could.” Well,
Wanda teaches her Basic Silva curriculum by adding stories of her
miraculous healings and manifestations. I have used two of them
in very emergent circumstances and would never have remembered
the proper technique (because of crisis) had I not remembered
her stories.
Stories go directly to the subconscious and become a program.
Periodically, Ed and I meet Wanda and Connie Buchanan at the 59 Diner
for socialization and FUN. Connie is a calligraphy expert and produces
hand-made cards that are wonderful. She is also a science fiction
author. We are waiting for her books to become best-sellers. They
also attend Ed’s seminars held at Centerpoint and give us a plug by
saying that they have not smoked since the Stop Smoking Seminar.
However, they came for the hypnosis and had never smoked anyway.
We took Wanda’s full program that she teaches. Email us for how to get
in her class….it will change your life. Wanda also took our classes
and the picture you see is her playing emcee for stage hypnosis and
showing that she can “be rigid as a steel bar”.

We met Louise Dewey through Wanda’s classes and in this picture you see
Louise in our energy and stage hypnosis class. She is “walking a tight
rope and is being very patriotic.” The guy next to her is Greg
Williams looking remarkably like Sai Baba. The figure in red
behind Greg is Rose Culberson, who created the “Sai Baba” costume
for the stage production. Louise practices in Houston
(Sharpstown area) and is a networker extraordinaire. She teaches
a class on networking that is a must for someone beginning
networking. (email us to get in touch with Louise).

The next picture is of Rose McGreevy and Karen Lowery. Rose was a
paralegal by day (and a good one). She worked for a long time for
the attorney who made 90 million dollars one year. At night, Rose
was a psychic at Magic Island. She was a true left-brain and
right-brain person. She was very instrumental in getting me to
develop the class on Tree Drawing Interpretation with journeys
to find your archetypes. This class also has Forensic graphology
and lots more. When I sent out the notices for the first class,
hers was the first one back. I still have the note attached
to it. It said, “This is the first thing I have had to look
forward to in so long. Thanks for getting it done.”
Rose had been undergoing treatment for cancer. In the Tree
Interpretation Class I added color healing with spectroscopes and used
Rose as a recipient while all participated in the meditation. She
looked weak the entire weekend; however, she lived five more months.
Rose taught Ed and I that there is freewill in choosing when we will
die. We were out of town when she died and I learned of it when
we returned. Ed was working on material to present to a
convention, but I went to the movies in honor of Rose not
knowing what would be on. I saw LEGALLY BLONDE and while
standing in line to buy my ticket I saw a cute little girl
with a red rhinestone ROSE on her arm. I felt it was Rose
telling me she was at the right place.

We practice and teach hypnosis because it still has wonderment for us.
One of our graduates exudes wonderment when talking and practicing
hypnosis. He is Ed Douglas. He is a police officer with the
Pasadena Police Department. He was already a forensic hypnotist
before taking our classes. He loves hypnosis and is a wonderful
practicitioner of rapid inductions. In the first picture, you
see Ed using a rapid induction on Jim Larsen. In the second
picture, Ed is in hypnosis and Mary Jackson Daniels assisted
him with getting into hypnosis by a silent induction. In the
third picture, Nancy O’Hern assisted Ed by using an aura
induction coupled with parts of a silent induction. You have
already read Nancy O’Hern’s story under Weight Loss Sessions.

Mary Jackson Daniels is a computer teacher for one of the school
systems in the suburbs of Houston. She became our student after
using hypnosis for stress reduction and found she liked it. She
also learned that she is a good practitioner. Mary exemplified
the initial fear of hypnosis by missing the turn to our facility
and calling me from Splendora. I waited for her to return since
she was my last client of the day , and we have had a wonderful
experience in getting to know Mary.
The next picture is of Gaynell Walker using energy hypnosis techniques
to assist Yvonne Washington. Gaynell is the wife of a minister and
they have been assisting others for over forty years. Gaynell was
also certified as a paramedic. She first came and lost 55 lbs. She
also felt that the techniques could be used to powerfully assist
others and took all of our courses except Past Life Regression and
Forensic.
In class she applied her learning of hypnosis to assist her husband who
was already on a sleep apnea machine. Not only did he improve to the
point of getting off the sleep apnea machine, but he also decided to
return to the ministry. They retired and then un-retired. Gaynell
practices hypnosis to assist others through the ministry and has had
phenomenal things happen. One man who had been blind since the end
of his war campaign years ago regained his sight through cellular
releasing © and Cell Command™ and Gaynell’s skill in working with
others. Gaynell lives in Cleveland, Texas.

Yvonne Washington took our full program except Forensic. She had
retired after being an executive supervisor for the Post Office.
Her son was an outstanding scholar and athlete . We grew to care
about both of them and was thrilled when he was awarded the highest
athletic award in Houston the year he graduated. He also received
an academic and full athletic scholarship to Indiana and plays
football for Indiana.
Yvonne is gifted in many areas including a gift for hypnosis. She has
a business on Antoine called Golden Light Rainbow.
Barbara Mathews was a psychology student at Sam Houston when she began
to take our classes. She was one of our younger students but very wise
with an extremely wise little daughter. Barbara took all our training classes
and then worked in and managed another of our former graduate’s Hypnosis office before moving to Pennsylvania where she now practices hypnosis. We miss you
Barbara. She was always ready, willing, and able to assist any
situation and usually solved the problem.

Doyle and Judy Neighbours came and took our classes together. Doyle
is a practicing attorney in the Lake Jackson area and Judy is his able
paralegal. They are both excellent hypnotists also. During their
class time, a miracle happened within their family and later they set
up practice and a business called, Cosmic Soup, close to the water
in their area. So if you need an attorney, a hypnotist, some soup,
or to attend a seminar, they can help you. They have assisted us
with lots of moral support and friendship since meeting them.
They also brought Judy’s cousin, Debbie Hrncir, who has been
a real joy to know. Debbie is a mortage broker for Stewart
Title and an excellent hypnotist. She lives in West Columbia.

w/ Debbie Hrncir in hypnosis |
Debbie Hrncir is the one in hypnosis in the picture above. Rose Scheller is
holding her chair and Wanda Peabody is looking on. You have already
read about Wanda in the Weight Loss Sessions.
Rose Scheller added peace, calmness, and friendship to the class. She
is a caterer that can’t be beat and we enjoyed many wonderful treats
while she was taking our classes. She always was a stabilizing, calm
force within the group and still provides that type assistance. She
took our full program and just completed her permanent forensic
certification.
Dr. Gabriel Richmond came to take our classes after retiring as an
educator. He was also a chiropractor and naturopath. We did not know
it until some time after starting our classes, but his wife, Virginia,
who was an acclaimed sculptress had died. Dr. Richmond made health
advances after the Grief Class and is now a Scuba Diving Instructor.
He started studying for this certification after completing our
classes. He was 74 when he started scuba and became an
instructor.

Jeannie Canalito in the picture below is a former banker who now owns a Day Spa in the Clear
Lake area. She produced one of the most profound healings while she
was still a student. One of her massage clients had fibromyalgia and
was on 33 medications. Her client was a young wife and mother who
came for massage in a wheelchair. Her quality of life was nil to
say the least. With a referral from her client’s psychiatrist and
physician, Jeannie began hypnosis sessions using Cellular
Releasing and Cell Command Therapy™. The end result today is:
her client is out of the wheel chair, pain free, and fully
functioning in life. Her physician and psychiatrist took
her off all medications except one hormone. (If you want
to email Jeannie, contact us and we will forward the message).

Joe Melton and Ron Turner are in the picture below. Both continue
to be fully employed; however, both plan to retire to hypnosis.
Hypnosis was something they were interested in all their lives.
Ron travels extensively and has taken our full program and other
programs around the country.
Joe came to classes with pain he had experienced since the 70’s or 80’s.
He had had all types of treatment, but still had the pain. He also was
diabetic and overweight. His wife had health issues and was
overweight. During the year, Joe released the pain completely.
His wife, who apologized for not being a good subject (incorrectly),
regained her health and lost all her extra weight. Joe is free
from insulin and was re-evaluated for his diabetes by his
physician. They are committed to the profession of hypnosis
and plan to attend the NGH Conventions in Nashua.

The picture of Ed Martin with a mallet over Dr. Raphael Segrera’s head looks
like abuse; however, it is a joke. Dr. Segrera did wonderfully when
working with others in class. However, he admitted to control issues
and only went to very light states of hypnosis. In the energy class
he went very deep. The mallet is made of foam and it is symbolic
of Dr. Martin thinking we would have to use “The Daffy Duck
Technique” to get him into hypnosis, but, in the energy inductions
he let go and went very deep.
He showed pictures to his wife, a nurse, and she was amazed over his
bent spoon, rigid and stiff, and aura hypnosis pictures. She had
studied martial arts for twenty years and said he accomplished in
six months what it took her years to accomplish in martial arts
training as far as applying the mind to circumstance.

Heidi Sanchez and Jeanne McCowan are in the picture below with Melody Adair.
(Melody is the one in hypnosis). Heidi (at Melody’s head) is very
gifted in the practice of hypnosis and has a soothing voice to match
the profession. She has worked for Jack Benard and Linda Wise at
Positive Changes. She recently set up her own office in the River
Oaks area.
Jeanne McCowan has a beautiful singing voice . During her year of
training, she worked on letting go of fear of singing beautifully
in solo. She accomplished that goal and initially set up office in
Sugarland with another graduate David Baldwin. David, who assisted
powerfully in updating the image and profession of hypnosis has
moved with his family to Atlanta . (Sorry we don’t have a picture
of David available).
Jeanne is now in practice alone in Sugarland.

Maggie Snyder, Barbara Naiquin & Lynda Mustain,
all three under in stage hypnosis |
Above is a picture of Maggie Snydner, Barbara Naquin, and Lynda Mustain
in stage hypnosis.
Maggie is a registered nurse, registered massage therapist (she is on
the left), and certified hypnotherapist. She has “the voice” also and
is very good at rapport building and hypnosis. She practices in
Angleton.
Barbara (in the middle) is still employed full time. However, she has
plans for her retirement in a few years. She has a lovely voice with
just a tinge of Louisiana French that makes it easy to go into
hypnosis. She is very committed to the profession of hypnosis.
Lynda is on the far right. Lynda is an extrovert with a big heart.
She has never met a stranger. She did lots of homework and saw very
positive results with everyone she followed during her year. She
travels extensively with her husband and planned “an R. V. caravan
ministry of helping others enjoy their retirement by learning to
relax and love themselves.”
Diane Cheatham has a degree in psychology, is a licensed massage
therapist, a Reiki Master, and runs a large massage business in
the League City Area. Even this busy, she has spent time promoting
the profession of hypnosis and we want to thank her.

Devan Tindall, Steve Bell, Diane Neumann, Julie Bradshaw, and Jeff
Martin shared some classes together. (Jeff had been in class with
Viola, Karen, Rose, and others for his Basic Certification also).
Devan was already certified in NLP when she came to take our classes.
She completed lots of homework during the year she took our full
program and helped lots of people. She has the soothing manner
with voice and lots of knowledge that is complimentary to hypnosis
since she has traveled to England and all around the United States
taking wonderful classes. She is now employed with Jeff Martin
in his pain clinics and does seminars. A very recent seminar
was done at the ARE Center in Houston.
Jeff Martin hypnotizing Devan Tindall |
Steve Bell has enjoyed and studied various types of hypnosis over
the years. He is retired military and is a licensed Masseuse. He took
our full program and recently received his advanced certification.
He is employed with Jeff Martin in Jeff’s pain clinics.
Steve Bell |
Jeff Martin has completed our full program and has studied with others
around the country. He is very committed to the practice of hypnosis
and has applied the techniques to his own health successfully. He has
made tremendous in-roads in bringing hypnosis into traditional
medicine and works for physician run pain clinics.
Fred Lewey (no picture available) is always first in answering
the call for help. He is employed in the computer field and has a
successful practice of hypnosis in the Kingwood area. Fred does
what he says he will do and we are grateful for his promotion of
the field of Hypnosis.
Julie Bradshaw is a wonderful writer for a large computer industry.
She is also very good in working with others with hypnosis. Because
of her demands of the job and a large family, she has been in several
class groups. She completed her basic and is very close to her
Advanced Certification. She currently does seminars on Past
Life Regression in the Magnolia area.
Julie Bradshaw |
Diane Neumann is employed full-time for an airline and is married to
a traveling pilot. Because of job responsibilities and travel, she
completed her basic with two groups and added a lot to both groups.
She has plans for helping others through hypnosis at some point in
her life and now lives in the Magnolia area. She has helped the
profession of hypnosis and we are grateful.
Diane Neumann with her bent spoon |
Betty Pyykola, Shelby Prager and Shannon Egle have all
powerfully assisted the profession of hypnosis. Betty’s story is under
weight loss; however, we need to add that she is the author of a
wonderful self help book where she incorporates a technique of
forgiveness and reconciliation (she studied with Dr. DeMartini)
and Cellular Releasing ™ and Cell Command Therapy™. She teaches this
in seminar format through her company Star Journeys. She is also
the head of a large Foster Care Organization that is
not-for-profit.
Shelby’s picture and story are under Stop Smoking.
The following group of people are with us in the picture below:
Ginger Young (her story is
under stop smoking), Kathy Horner, Alice Cagle (her story is under
Weight Loss), Laura Brackin, Sandi Levin, Judy Thacker, Bob Pekarik,
Rita Graves, Michael Hein, and Elizabeth Lloyd have assisted the
profession of hypnosis over the last year.
Kathy is a practicing attorney who is also trained as a Master’s level
Social Worker. She plans to practice in the near future. Laura
Brackin is going to add to her family with a new and (first) baby.
Sandi Levin has already been trained in Barbara Brennan’s healing
techniques through a three year program and received her basic from
us in hypnosis. She is setting up practice in the Pearland Area .
Judy Thacker is very good with children since she is a full-time
teacher in Lake Jackson and has plans for her hypnosis
certification in the future. Bob Pekarik has his own business
and he and his wife, Gwen, have been trained in healing
techniques for some time. He received his basic through us
and will incorporate this into his business life at a later
date. He completed the follow-up in class for Ginger’s Stop
Smoking session (see that story). Elizabeth Lloyd is an
extrovert who works full-time but has many “People-related
businesses. (Mary Kay is one of them). She has a
wonderful voice and manner and will incorporate her basic
and Advanced Certification into her world soon. She has
just recently totally reconstructed her home in the
Westchaise area.
We are grateful to all of these
students and to Michael Hein who drove monthly from
Missouri to take our classes. He was already certified ,
but met us when we were teaching at a retreat center
in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and decided to come monthly
and take our classes.

Front Row (left to right) is Freda Little, and Julie Bradshaw (who just earned her Advanced Cell Command…she received Basic with another Class). Second Row: (left to right) is Melanie
Harrell, Janie Veth, Celeste Hardaway, Daniel Maxwell, Maya Goodson,
and Susan Cupples. Not Pictured but graduating: Anna Fryar and
Clint McNabb.
Katie Cemer and Laura Phillips both helped the hypnosis profession
over the last year. We don’t have pictures for them, but hope they will
send some. Katie completed her basic and then had two adorable
children. Laura completed basic and is a full-time student. Laura
does soul paintings that are very special and does this through Wanda
Peabody’s business in Bay City. (See Wanda’s story). We also want
to thank Phillip King for all the help he provided. He was already
certified in NLP and took our classes and received basic. He
moved to New Zealand, but did powerfully assist the profession
of hypnosis here and from New Zealand. We thank him.
We also thank Vicki Blake for her letter writing efforts and follow-up
with legislators. (We don’t have a picture of Vicki to share).
In this same capacity we thank Debbie Crawford, Bea
Miller, Liz Pearsall, and Concetta Harrison.
Below is a picture of Debbie with her son, Brian
who has an active practice in Louisiana. Debbie is a
research nurse for St. Luke’s and is researching in a
scientific way the effects of hypnosis on subjects. Bea
contacted us recently and she has re-vamped her life in
a very positive way and will be sending a picture of
the “New Bea” after a few more rejuvenation months.
Liz Pearsall is an art teacher in Deerpark, Texas and Concetta Harrison
is a business woman in Houston. We thank both of them
for their help.
Debbie Crawford hypnotizing Brian Broussard |
Helen Morse has been a very important part of our updating our image of
hypnosis. She has studied many healing modalities and has been able to
keep her husband’s health issues in remission for over 30 years. He
is a practicing attorney. Helen has taken our full-program and we
are grateful to her for her help over the last one and one-half
years.
(We don’t have a picture available for her or Dr. Douglas
Sharp).
Dr. Doug Sharp is a trained osteopathic surgeon who came to us
in extreme pain from surgeries needed on his hips at a very young
age. He has gone on to become and expert in the field of
hypnosis for pain treatment and has written articles on this.
We thank him for his help over the last one and one-half
years.
Ed and I want to thank each other for the hard work we have done in promoting and working for the hypnosis profession. Now after four and one-half years of
daily work, this is how we feel. We will be rejuvenating soon,
however.
