In a very recent Birmingham News, the headline of a news article on the Lifestyle page was "THE MARTINS ARE IN BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, NOW"! Turns out they are Purple Martins (Birds of course).

That particular article has bearing on our status also. We, the MARTINS, are also now in Birmingham, Alabama. We are not the Purple Martins; however, we are the MARTINS of The PATH Foundation and are not just traveling through.

After over twenty some odd years of having our main office in Houston, Texas, we moved our central office to Birmingham, Alabama. Our office for Private Sessions is now in the Medical Center part of Southside Birmingham in a wonderful dental complex. PATH is the only hypnosis therapy location close to the UAB medical tower and next door to dentists for adults and a dentist for children.

Our location for information, Hypnosis CD’s, Oxywater systems, and At-home Hypnosis Training on DVD and the ability to have healing sessions of hypnosis at home with in-home healing hypnosis CD’s through the Cell Command Therapy® CDs sold in a secure manner on our website is through the Alabama Center of The PATH Foundation.

DVD Video Home Study Hypnosis training, courses, sessions, and certification through The PATH Foundation with reciprocal certification through the NGH (National Guild of Hypnotists) or IMDHA (International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Assoc.) are available through the Alabama Center of The PATH Foundation located on Red Mountain.

Hypnosis session on CD helps overcome infertility

A sample of one of our positive suggestion CD’s is on our website and just from the sample you can see what the hypnosis world says about Ed Martin’s healing voice tones and soothing sound. Our CD’s of in-home sessions of healing on CD through the Cell Command® CDs that address all systems of the body have phenomenal success testimony. Claire Remington of Rochester, New York attended a Cell Command ® seminar at the NGH in the middle part of the 1990’s. She asked to tell a wonderful story about one of our CD’s…The Reproductive System CD.

Claire is a NGH Hypnotist and works with her spouse who is a psychiatrist. Their office manager was the wife of an MD gynecologist. She was a Cornell Graduate that Claire described as very left-brained in her manner. After Dr. Martin’s talk the year before, Claire bought her office manager the cassette (at that time) of the Restoration of the Reproductive System. Reason: the office manager and her physician husband were going through Fertility Treatment to birth a child.

Claire bought the cassette and asked her office manager to listen to it for thirty days only. She had to get a verbal contract for the office manager to do this because of her Type A personality.

After two weeks of nightly listening, the office manager told Claire she had a dream about looking out over the bay and seeing 3 Sperm Whales come up and wink at her. She continued to listen to the cassette nightly for the thirty days.

One year later, Claire reported to the next year Cell Command Therapy® seminar that her office manger is no longer her office manager. Her former office manager and the office manager’s physician husband were now the proud parents of triplets!

Now in Birmingham, AL & Houston, TX

We invested several years after we had planned to move from Houston, Texas, to assist hypnosis/hypnotherapy in the State of Texas in a very hands on one-on-one political advocacy capacity. Our former students were pivotal and very active in this process. We also have family remaining in Houston, Texas; therefore, we decided Houston would be a good place to start a franchise of our hypnosis training program. We had spent many years developing our Texas Hypnosis Courses, Classes, and Certification program with both Basic Certification and Advanced Certification in hypnosis and hypnotherapy. We have franchised this hypnosis training program and you can view the Texas Hypnosis Institute of The PATH Foundation on our website. It has all the information and links to register for courses, classes, and certification in hypnosis/hypnotherapy in Texas.

Our move was a huge one and after a year we have renovated our new office in Southside Birmingham, started local advertising, started doing community talks, and Ed has been in the local news. One of the major enjoyments is encountering clients in private sessions and their miraculous accomplishments.

Television Talk Show about Hypnosis

We will have an example of Ed’s interview and Ed doing hypnosis with a TV reporter at Fox 6 and ABC 13. Ed was well-known in Houston, Texas, for his talks about hypnosis on television. We had to stop those when we became very involved in the legislation for hypnosis . He is very happy to again be on television on ABC 33/40 in the Birmingham area. What was a regular occurrence in Texas, has now begun in Birmingham, Alabama. We have already had many people come up to us and say, “I enjoyed your show on television”. Ed has aired himself educating about hypnosis in a talk format, himself with former clients who were very successful, and I was with him on one show talking about using hypnosis to overcome grief symptoms.

The PATH Foundation is also advertising through WZZK radio and the nationally famous Rick and Bubba morning drive show. They have just written a New York Times Bestseller book and you can find out more about advertising with them for your own products by contacting one of our formerly successful clients, Jennifer Owens. You can view her story under our weight loss stories. Her picture in our story was taken at a Rick and Bubba event where Dr. Tom Owens, national celebrity, author, and local health club owner demonstrated fitness by having a truck drive across his chest at the radio station event.

National Guild of Hypnotists Convention (largest ever)

In August, we attended the National Guild of Hypnosis Convention in Marlborough, Massachusetts. It is the largest convention of Hypnotists / Hypnotherapists held in the world. Dr. Ed Martin taught three seminars at this convention. The majority of the speakers are centered from around that area of the country (or in the past they lived in that area of the country and moved to new locations). Cell Command Therapy® techniques have been taught by Ed Martin to attendees at this convention since 1990, and he has received many wonderful compliments and evaluations about it and his talks.

His videos of talks and CDs of his talks have gone around the world through the National Guild of Hypnotists. His third talk at the convention this year was a paid seminar for the NGH and today , as I was writing this UPDATE, an email came in from one of the attendees of that paid seminar. She has a very nice website and practices a program that she learned through Marie Mongan called hypnobirthing.

Seeing her picture brought back memories of Ed in 1995 attending the NGH Convention. Mrs. Mongan agreed to be a demonstration subject in one of his seminars at the National Convention for assistance with her schleroderma. It is an auto-immune disease that is usually fairly quick moving once it is diagnosed. Also One of our former students, Claire Tatro of Springfield, Massachuetts, who learned Cell Command Therapy through an intensive training course with The PATH Foundation, worked with Mrs. Mongan locally.

If you will go to the wonderful site of Lea Blumberg at www.newlifeawareness.com , you will see that Mrs. Mongan is still active, healthy, teaching, and doing well in life in this year of 2007. We are happy that Cell Command Therapy® through Dr. Martin and Claire Tatro could be a golden link in the chain of Mrs. Mongan’s healing and good health.

Interestingly enough, looking at the same offering of pictures that came in on the email link, was a picture of the seminar attendee with Dr. Bruce Lipton. This picture is also on her website. Dr. Martin was teaching at the IMDHA (International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Convention) the year Dr. Lipton released his first findings and book. With both of them at the same convention and Dr. Lipton doing the research to prove what Ed has been saying and copyrighted since the late 1980’s, the convention attendees kept getting the two confused and started calling them collectively "THE CELL MEN". The entertainer who did the stage hypnosis for the banquet referred to them as the CELL MEN. Seeing his picture brought back happy memories.

True Costs of Smoking

I will end this September 2007 update with an encounter yesterday. I stopped at a convenience store to buy some bottled water. I was in-line behind a man buying what appeared to be only one pack of cigarettes. When the clerk told him the amount, it was six dollars and some cents. The man exclaimed quite loudly: “I can’t believe it is over six dollars for one pack of cigarettes and a bag of ice” (he was to pick up his ice outside).

The clerk showed him the price of the one pack of cigarettes which was $4.90. I was shocked. The bag of ice took up the rest of the total fee. When I got to the area to pay for my water, there was a statement about the tax on cigarettes now being over $6.00 per carton and a place for consumers to complain.

I believe in signs and this sign was a definite that it pays in many ways to stop smoking cigarettes. The most valuable, of course, is to a person’s health and well-being. However, it is apparent that a person’s financial well-being is greatly enhanced by stopping smoking and hypnosis is the best way to do that. Later, at home, we watched a national talk show. Samuel Jackson, the actor, was on the show talking about his stopping smoking. He told the host that he could never stop until he went to a man who did an IV drip and then talked to him. He hasn’t wanted to smoke since. The talk show host recognized what Samuel Jackson did not and stated, “You were given hypnosis suggestion to stop smoking to your subconscious.” I recognized the IV drip technique from when I was the lead therapist for six psychiatrists and knew that rather than use a positive, relaxing induction to connect to the subconscious, the stop smoking person used an IV drip for the induction. How invasive! Luckily, people can stop through PATH Foundation program with relaxing, effective positive suggestion hypnosis coupled with releasing causes. Over 9,600 happy former customers (ex smokers) recognize this.
