HYPNOSIS - HYPNOTHERAPY
UPDATE

Business Integrity

This month we noticed a theme being presented to us. It was the theme of the choice to be present in life and business with integrity. An on-line client (Mrs. Betty Hightower) had purchased an Oxywater system. She had loved the taste of the water and truly felt it was a product that was very beneficial to her life. She emailed back to find out what could be done since the system was not working properly. What she immediately got were suggestions on how to check the system. (As it turned out, the first suggestion on the email was the problem) She was also told that she would be called to assist her, but to please do these checks before the call.

Dr. Martin responded by making the call and all was well. However, we received a lengthy email from Mrs. Hightower praising the effort made by The PATH Foundation. She spoke of customers wanting integrity and customer response. She ended her email with her statement that she would now feel very comfortable in recommending the value of the product to her friends because she knew her friends would receive good service. To continue with that theme, the Birmingham newspaper announced that Nordstrom will be coming to Birmingham. They have good products, however, they have built their business on customer service according to the news article.

This response to us by Mrs. Hightower and the amount of time taken by Mrs. Hightower was very rewarding to us. Shortly after receiving the email, a national ENews I enjoy reading came. The theme was how a very busy sales executive chose his own lawn chemical treatment service. As a very busy executive, he did not have the time to get out and treat his lawn the way his retired neighbor did. His neighbor’s lawn was much greener and healthier. His neighbor upon being asked the product/ products to purchase at the store was honest and told him he hired a chemical company to treat the lawn and recommended this particular company.

The sales executive called and ordered the chemical visits to start. The person taking the call decided it was an “easy sale” and decided to try an upgrade with a heavy sales pitch. The sales person agreed to listen as a courtesy but knew the exact plan he wanted since he had seen the results of his neighbor. He did allow the lengthy sales pitch and finally determined to clarify that he only wanted what he called for in the first place. The chemical company closer pretended to listen and then quoted the fee for the extra coverage and was writing up the extra coverage. End result: the already sold executive told the closer to forget the entire process. He then called several companies and signed with the one who “listened to my need and treated me with respect.”

It brought to his mind the time he and his wife found the house that met all their “dream needs” and offered the full asking price to close the deal. The seller couldn’t believe they could get the full asking price and countered with a higher price. The end result of this was they decided there was no integrity on the part of the sellers and that they could not trust the sellers in there statements about the house. They refused to buy the house because of the lack of trust and integrity. He went on to say that his experience with the lawn company and the remembrance triggered about the house made him do some marketing inquiries for his own business. What he found was:

People want to be heard and respected in their choices. In this respect process, they also want to feel as if they can trust the person with whom they are involved in business. If that trust and respect are there, then they are even willing to pay more for the PEACE OF MIND.

Another Superstar Athlete succeeds with Hypnosis

This theme being presented to us continued with an email from a client I had worked with twice back in 2005. She emailed me to say major positive changes were coming in her life and that she wanted to again work with me before this positive change took place. I had worked with Shaun Sparacio to be able to swim with the style required for her triathlon meets. She was able to effectively do all requirements of the triathlon except when she had to swim with her head down under water it triggered a feeling of panic. We combined cellular releasing of causes , superlearning techniques with positive suggestion, and, I, of course, had her draw a tree.

We considered that process of two sessions as Super Star Hypnosis / Super Learning Sessions. However, as it turned out she knows without a shadow of a doubt that the subconscious work triggered other positive openings into her life. You can view the first tree and her second tree two years later and they speak volumes about the changes that took place. Her handwriting had also given me clues to some of the subconscious reasons and through the two subconscious processes of gaining more information (without verbal talking about it) and the releasing with positive suggestion major positive shifts took place in her life.

Tree drawing revelation

Go to tree drawing interpretation to read her interesting story. However, Shaun continued this theme of trust and integrity by telling me that she felt she could really trust me and that I approached our two sessions with a sense of integrity that was palpable to her. She readily agreed to sharing her story and said that one of the things she did after her session was stop driving a Porsche (that she really didn’t enjoy driving that much because she felt she had to protect and guard it ) and bought a new Honda Element and began to say to herself and others, “I am in MY ELEMENT”. Shaun has not only joined our website on the Tree Drawing Interpretation /Tree Drawing Analysis part of the website, but her Super Star Triathlon Story is under the Super Star Section section of our website.

Babies choose Nice instead of Naughty

On Thanksgiving Day, was a wonderful article in The Birmingham News. The idea of ethics and positive behavior choice was studied with babies. The babies were an average age of 18 months. Some of the babies, however, were as young as six months. Toys were developed that could walk and move that had very human eyes and features. Some of the toys were helping toys that would help up other toys trying to move up an incline. Other toys were neutral in that they just moved up the incline. Other toys had bad behavior of tripping the other toys or hitting the other toys acting very aggressive. The researchers allowed the babies to observe the actions without the researchers offering any verbal suggestions except eventually the babies were allowed to pick a toy to keep.

The results were that the babies chose the helping toys or the neutral toys. None of the babies chose the aggressive toys. The results of the study supported the idea that aggression similar to Machiavellian behavior is learned behavior rather than innate human behavior.

Psychiatrist discovers subconscious clues to Truth

Another theme accompanying the ideas of thought are subconscious thoughts believed by hypnotists to be the most valuable, along with Higher Conscious thoughts, that a person can have. A forensic psychiatrist who works in Birmingham, Alabama, has written a book about the subconscious giving clues in a national case of a lost 18 year old from Birmingham, Alabama. By reading statements and emails of the possible perpetrators in the Natalee Holloway case, he has offered clues that may reveal where her body was thrown (deep water) and how the probable killing of Ms. Holloway happened. He looks at life and clues from the words that come through the conscious mouth, but they are triggered by subconscious programming. Accompanying these ideas, is a powerful article in PARADE Magazine on November 25, 2007 about integrity-filled treatment and words powerfully assisting healing.

Hope can assist Healing

This article in PARADE Magazine is the story of a young family in California. They are pharmacists owning a pharmacy in California, and are happily raising five young children. The youngest child is diagnosed with a fast-moving brain tumor. Upon finding the tumor, the physician in California immediately tells the family to “not get their hopes up”, “only 10 per cent live with this diagnosis”, and it might be better to go home and make the child happy until the end. The young mother decides to consider the advice and later in the week goes to a mall where a carousel is enjoyed by children, taking the child with the tumor.

Walking to the carousel, she sees a sign advertising Care and Hope at St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. (Where Shaun Sparacio, the triathlon super star , is moving). The words on the sign triggered her with a desire to call Memphis because the words that had been spoken to her family about her child had caused them to give up HOPE.

She called and the end result is: they moved and lived in housing provided by St. Jude’s Hospital. She describes the entire family feeling such hope and support. The physician was interviewed and he said he focused on the ten percent who have been cured of this tumor, never allowing his mind to dwell on the other 90 percent who die. The child is now considered cured and it has been a year since they all returned to their home in California.

The young Mother attributes the "Words of Hope" as being valuable to this family being able to obtain the cure for their youngest child. At this time of the year, a time of remembering our Blessings For Which to be Thankful, it is important to remember that our words are powerful in their ability to help or hinder. It is also a nice idea to remember the study of the babies that was printed in the Birmingham News on Thanksgiving Day that helps validate that humans come into the world wanting to help rather than hinder the progress of others on the path of life.

The PARADE article was titled, “There is Always Something to Hope For” by Emily Listfield as told by the Mother of the child, Liz Devins. (November 25, 2007). The Birmingham News article on November 22, 2007 is titled “Infants Know Who is Naughty or Nice”. It was written by Seth Borenstein and is an Associated Press story. Both are very interesting to read in detail. I only hit the basic facts which is the theme of integrity, trust, and good behavior towards others.

PATH Foundation office in Houston hosts NGH chapter

We are happy to announce that the PATH Foundation offices in Houston, Texas, are the official location for The National Guild Hypnotists Organization Chapter Meetings. The first meeting was held in Houston with Melodie Steele of The PATH Foundation and Enola Dominiak of Tranquil Thymes sponsoring the hospitality of the meeting for other hypnotists. Determining the officers for future meetings was the order of business and the following are the officers:

Melodie Steele, President

Enola Dominiak, Vice President

Christine March, Secretary

Since no dues are going to be collected, there is not a secretary. All hypnotists from surrounding areas are notified of meetings by the National Guild. Any hypnotist wanting to visit may contact Melodie Steele (contact information on this website) to learn more about the meetings. A person can attend for two meetings as a guest before being asked to join the National Guild of Hypnotists. There were many hypnotists in attendance and it will be great support for those in businesses in Houston and surrounding areas.

Have a safe and happy Holiday season that puts you in touch with your Faith.

From the Martins, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The Best New Year Ever!

Next month we will have some ways that you can bolster your goals for the next year and learn more about self in the process.

Good Luck and have a wonder-filled life    -   Cheryl Martin
